Security Council in Crisis

  At 10:10 this morning the Security Council debate was suspended by the Secretary General who brought news of an urgent crisis in the Sea of Japan.  The first briefing informed delegates that North Korea had launched short-ranging missiles outwith the area previously agreed for the purpose of military exercises. Oneof the missiles launched by North Korea towards the Sea of Japan hit a Chinese state-owned fishing boat, killing 30 Chinese nationals.

SNN Exclusive - Representatives of Iran and DPRK address the SC

SNN has been issued wiith exclusive footage of speeches given by representatives of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Islamic Republic of Iran, to the Security Council this afternoon.

URGENT EXCLUSIVE REPORT TO SNN

From unknown source:   SNN has received information that the strike to the Chinese fishing vessel was purposely done.  The vessel was detected by NK sonar and was thought to be a US spy vessel.  The launch is considered to be a pre-emptive strike in order to not intercept the Iranian cargo vessel suspected to be transporting sensitive and illegal material.

SNN apologises for the late publication of this press statement. It was issued to the media but was unable to be published until this point:

"The effort of THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH OSSETIA AND THE REPUBLIC OF ABKHAZIA to achieve independence must be finally accepted as the justified action, it is time to admit that it is the ONLY WAY to stop years of repression by the Georgian forces.

BREAKING NEWS - LATEST BRIEFING FROM THE SECRETARY GENERAL

High Seas Armed Confrontation

 A United States and South Korean commanded destroyer (Acuarela) in the high seas began its approach to look for survivors of the Chinese vessel. As it moved towards the ship on fire, they found and stopped a cargo vessel of Iranian flag.
